In it Mr. Jackson talks about the importance of the partnering relationship between inside and outside counsel and what can be done to keep the relationship fresh, alive and effective.

This article appeared in the summer 2006 issue of the Wired Board, a publication of Directors & Boards and was written while Mr. Jackson was with a New York law firm. In it, the co-authors talk about the then pending amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the fact that management of a company’s ESI (“electronically stored information”) is likely to become and emerging compliance issue for boards and management.
“A Perfect Fit: New Frontiers of Due Diligence in Strategic Acquisitions” (PDF)
This article suggests that new due diligence items be added to a strategic buyer’s checklist. The new items should cover an inquiry into the ethics and business practices of the target company to answer the question: “Am I going to be comfortable working with these people?” It appeared in the April 2006 edition of Directors Monthly, a publication of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

This article appeared in the October 2002 edition of Directorship®, then in its twenty-eighth year as the "Authoritative Board Resource". In it, the author explores the changing expectations of regulators, shareholders and the general public in the post-Enron environment and how these new expectations may impact directors personally. His observations are as relevant today as they were when the article was first published. He suggests that Boards now have the opportunity to lead the reform of corporate governance by their own example. The Editor of Directorship wrote:
